MagTrack

MagTrack: A Wireless Motion Tracking System

MagTrack is a wearable motion tracking system that generates complex controls from the movement of tiny tracers placed in any spot above the neck where the user still has remaining motion such as the head, cheek, eyebrows, chin, or even the tongue for those with limited facial movements. The motion data from the tracers are recorded by an embedded controller in our smart eyewear and wirelessly transmitted to an external control manager that outputs commands specific to a target device. Thus, MagTrack offers a fully integrated, all-in-one experience so that a user can seamlessly switch between driving their wheelchair to controlling connected devices in their surroundings. The system can be used anywhere since it is wearable, and its built-in wireless connectivity makes it standalone to facilitate portability.
